About Girum Tihtina
Girum is the founder and CEO of Doctours, the medical tourism company. He's an engineer by training who spent years building international payment systems at Meta (previously Facebook) before kicking off his startup journey. After a few failed endeavors, Girum taped in to his past to inspire Doctours. In 2016, his family was saved from bankruptcy thanks to medical tourism. Now, he wants use his experience to help 100 million Americans who are currently forced to pick between medical debt and forgoing the care that they need.
