I absolutely love this show and haven’t missed an episode! However, the amount of up speak on each episode is a bit distracting. I hope it’s not just me that feels this way lol.

Great episode listening to the full pitch, unedited! Totally great hearing all the details and makes the founder more impressive being able to handle all those questions that are non sequential, in real time. Good practice for founders to hear the line of questions in true, full speed. Also, since you you have 100+ episodes, and significant breaks between each season, you can do full length re-releases to engage audience between seasons. Or even during seasons when you need to extend out. Guy does this very well with “How I Built this”. Love the show! Glad you are back. Been with you since Season 1!

My daughter has started a baking business and was on Food Network's Kids Baking Championship. Listening to these pitches is helping her understand why it is so important to know her numbers for when she wants to expand her current business or one she creates in the future. Thanks to all the founders out there!

Not a business person but I still find this show super interesting, and the stories that come after the pitch make it feel more personal

I am so impressed with the way you bought your podcast back from Spotify and are reinvigorating it in a new way going forward. Like many listeners, I really missed The Pitch and I’m excited it is back and even better!

I can’t express how excited I am that The Pitch is coming back! This more than almost anything makes me feel like things are finally returning to normal since 2020.
CupOfJoe2012
Re-listening to old pitches is nice but getting new ones is even better. Good luck!

Like others, this show was part of what has inspired me to become an entrepreneur. It provides examples, business insights, strategic advice… a lot of wisdom packed into every episode. Excited for the new season.

So happy to hear the pitch is coming back — I really missed it!!!

One of the best business/entrepreneur-oriented shows out there. So entertaining and educational :)

I would love to hear more food startups to.

Really enjoy the structure of this. It’s exceeded expectations. Very helpful being a fly on the wall and hearing the pitches and entrepreneurs that get cash, and comparing them to the ones who don’t.

If the founder Kevin can afford his two kids go to private high school this year, then why he can’t afford a developer to turn on the pay wall following apples requirements.

Absolutely love The Pitch. If you enjoy Shark Tank, you will definitely like this show. I love the check ins, both at the end of the episode and in later episodes. I never miss an episode.

If your remotely interested in learning more about or starting a business, this is the podcast for you! This team casts a wide net around the start-up experience, from before the pitch room (concept stage) to after revenue generation, they truly uncover all of the various nuances companies face along their journey.

The Pitch is one of my favorite podcasts. I love the authentic view of the entrepreneur, VCs, and the pitch. It’s everything you hope for watching tv shows like Shark Tank, but without the taint of network tv.

This show was made for you. I work in education, but have always been interested in the the path of entrepreneurship. I really enjoy listening to this podcast. I do wish it offered more episodes with female guests.

This is one of the few podcasts I enjoy listening to. It’s fun to hear new ideas and how investors react. The host is great and it’s an all around great podcast. After hearing an ad on Spotify, I had to listen and it was a great decision!

This podcast is perfect to help entrepreneurs avoid some of the pitfalls when dealing with VC. I love that in the discussions the VC gives alternative ways to raise funds and suggestion(on product improvement or marketing, pricing etc.) if the company is too earlier.

So entertaining and informative
lilliemitchell
The behind the scenes recap separates this from the rest as we get to hear what happens after the initial commitments and the diligence process. Not every deal goes through from that first pitch or sometimes investors get even more excited and put in larger amounts. I like the approach of the Pitch!
jKraus23
I’m not someone who hopes to have a startup someday. This podcast is full of great advice for people in that category. But it’s also a great listen for people like me. I love podcasts that transport me to another world that is completely different from my own. They’re the most stress relieving and entertaining for me. I just found the Pitch and am working my way through the archives. Thanks for a great show!
BooneLady
Great podcast! I love the follow up after the pitch to find out if the investors followed through. It’s a great format.

I learn a lot from this show about entrepreneurship

I’ve listened to every episode of this podcast. Sad to see it go. Even if you aren’t looking to get money for your business, it’s informative and exciting to listen to these business owners pitch their ideas and see just what they go through.
Kileyjst
While downloading this week’s episode, I saw that this is the first episode for the final season. No! Don’t go! I really enjoy The Pitch! What can we do to get you to change your mind? #sigh. This makes me so sad.
Aye Are Kay
I love this show! Great feedback and a fun listen. Wish there were some images or video to go along with it, so one can see the presentation. I love making my own predictions and whether I would’ve invested if I were a billionaire too😂

I cannot recall if I’ve provided a 5 star review previously. But here it is. I work and speak with startup founders weekly. The investors provide excellent analysis of these businesses. On top of that, they are kind and supportive towards the founders. It is a very positive and informative show. Love listening every week. Just wish there were twice as many episodes.
Nick Rishwain
Ugh, I accidentally put this review on the wrong "The Pitch" podcast page. Sorry! Wanted to say I'm not an entrpreneur (too scared for that) and I'm not an investor (too broke for that) but I LOVE listening to this podcast about young businesses and what they do. It's very interesting to hear about the products and services people think about putting out into the world. It's equally interesting to hear the investor-experts give their opinions on the future of these businesses and whether they think they have a chance to "make it".
AmberWaving
I love the show. As an individual with no business background but an entrepreneurial mindset and a drive to take my innovations to the next level, the show presents lots of food for thought for future entrepreneurs, like me. Over the last season, the show has done a commendable job of better explaining what certain acronyms or jargon term mean that might not immediately register to those like me. Now, while you still get a five star rating from me, I would like to offer a modicum of feedback. That is, I suggest avoiding prefacing phrases that could inadvertently marginalize a part of your listening base. I took issue when Josh said in episode 31 @ 00:25:00 that unless you’ve been living under a rock you probably already know what an ICO is. I’ll be quite frank, I have some very successful people in my family who are entrepreneurs and I’ve lived around business language quite a bit in my life, but I’ve never heard of an ICO and I felt like there are probably others like me who haven’t either that really don’t want to want to be put down for this. All this to say, going forward it would behoove you to avoid these sayings by exercising a little more sensitivity to the fact that you have listeners that are still learning. Try not to absentmindedly exclude them or marginalize them. Otherwise keep up the good work. Please bring back the values of the investments!!! Michael Hyatt needs to go. Hate him. No compassion. Frankly, I think business classes at all levels should require listening to this podcast. Thanks for all you are doing. Keep up the great work!!! Ari in Grand Rapids, MI.
Aavva
Please get rid of this guy. He brings down the industry.
Jack Park 2014
A pretty good podcast but OMG MICHAEL HYATT. He is the worst. He is unreliable, self-aggrandizing and pretentious and also gives the worst advice. One time he told a former addict working on an app to track addicts that he should check into rehab undercover and get addicts to use the app for user research, describing them as "animals on the savannah" - telling an ADDICT to check into rehab, under false pretences, to spy on other addicts without their permission. Disgusting and outrageously unethical. Please Gimlet, get rid of this guy, he brings nothing to the table and is horrifically damaging.
bamchikkawowow
Love this entire podcast! So much knowledge dropped in each episode and for someone who is a previous teacher, joining the startup world, this has been extremely helpful. Just finished “80% Off!”. Would it be possible to do more conversations like the one at the end of this one with Sarah? More in-depth info about valuations, etc. would be awesome!
Chad_McFarland
I love the real-time feel of the show. The pitch lets you hear and learn from the pitch makers mistakes; while staying nicely out of the way of the story.
maque_choux
So interesting!! Fabulous VC panel that give huge insights into what drives their decisions and how they evaluate founders and their products. Love follow up episodes and when Josh offers his opinions too!!
My Apple Nickname
I like this a lot, and I feel like it is a little underrated. Check it out.
KingOfT0wn
Says it all in the title. Basically a better Shark Tank
Pardzzz
Listen to the show consistently. Solid insight into what I hope to one day be a pitch of my own. Expert panel weighing in on their typical day of risk vs reward. Empowering to listen to others sharing their dreams, their solutions, and putting these idea people to the test. I listen while I run and it dawned on me, the questions, typical cadence, usual formula (much appreciated), always leave out two crucial questions to what I would consider prior to investing in anything (cup of coffee to vacation) ...how will this help the planet, how will this help humanity. I know vc’s have a lot to consider when putting their money into a project, BUT why not add a couple of variables to their equation, add some depth to the ‘I’ in ROI? My two cents. Thanks for the show, keeps me dreamin! PS- a live show outside of the big city would be nice.
Rand Jenkins
Imagine Shark Tank only with no BS and SERIOUS advice for these young entrepreneurs. Spectacular listen and super compelling. If you’re thinking about doing a startup and going for VC money it’s a must listen.
Fredfx
Inveators not inveating. Many startups only hit maybe one in 10 investors they pitch (and that’s high), so it would not be unusual for there to be maybe two to four investments per season.I like the show but sometimes feel aome episodes are cut for time and there’s probably more discussion that is edited out. I’d be good with slightly longer but more detailed episodes. Live Gimlet but on this one I think too much is left on the virtual editing room floor.

Listen and learn. Founders pitching to investors. Think Shark Tank without annoying TV personalities/sharks.
Tulloch-ity-split
I love getting to hear the live pitch and then all the interesting twists and turns after the "happily ever after" funding committment moment. Or as it often turns out, "complicated and interesting ever after."
Volta Charging
Even though I don't have a startup and probably never will, I love the drama of this podcast. I enjoy learning about the fascinating businesses, hearing the investors feedback, and how Josh breaks down the pitch tactics—and builds drama as we find out if the founders earn investments. I have been enjoying the follow-up episodes and look forward to more of those in the future.
ambiggers
I can't get enough of this podcast. Sad to say that I am late to the pitch podcast, but so excited that I can binge listen. I love the interplay between the entrepreneur and the venture capitalists. It is really great and one of my favorite podcasts.
MattyOOO
Love hearing how the investors think, it never gets old to me. Keep up the wonderful work! I learn something new every episode.
1978Cruzier
I love the window into real entrepreneurial pitches. The companies are super interesting and a good mix of ones that get shot down and ones that seem like a can’t miss. Investors have great feedback too.
Casham
It’s a quick Shark tank, only more practical and with real venture capitalists. You hear all sides, including the follow-up. It’s quick and easy and you truly learn all the do’s and don’ts . I love this podcast as someone who just started them and can’t wait to listen to all of them.
fashion2107
Interesting, but I would appreciate more real businesses.
Gimletfan765498721
The Pitch is full of smart, constructive voices and captures the behind-the-scenes realness in the business world. Unlike other shows, it really shows the surprise out-of-left-field twists and how it affects companies. The show really thoughtfully considers context beyond just a dope pitch and that’s great. (Also the least network-intrusive/annoying of Gimlet’s podcasts, just saying.)
RaphDS112
I love the format of the show. It’s all the good stuff about shark Tank, adapted for audio, and diving a little bit deeper behind the scenes. Keep rockin it Gimlet 🙌🏼
the2pages
It’s like Shark Tank, but a podcast. I love the different/diverse companies/spaces that come on this show to pitch to investors. I’ve learned so much about investing and also about some cool new ideas/companies. I love the format— the pitch 1st, investors ask questions, invest or pass, and then Josh does an Update with the founder after a few months, so you can find out where the company is at now and if the investments went through! Thank you for this show! It’s one of my favorites!!!
bcgirl126
Great show!Did you get my application? Im wolfing you!Byron From EZ-Probate

It's like Shark Tank without the fake drama. Big fan. Great insights. Love the format!
Ohuniverse
Love the show! Is it possible to do an episode dedicated to explaining all the terminology and nuances of investment strategies? Ex. How to come up with evaluations numbers for funding, what is a sas market? Etc etc. Newbie-
hustleishard101
It has a similar setup as shark tank. Someone pitches their product to 3 Vic investors. At the end of the pitch each VC will state whether they are in or not. In between is a narrator who helps guide us to understand the pitch and Vc thoughts and input. I prefer this over shark tank mostly because I can take this on trips and listen while doing something else. The pitch is highly entertaining and I would recommend to anyone who likes business topic in general
PNN_NPP
This is one of my favorite shows I listen to. Every Wednesday morning it’s the first thing I put on for my commute! I love the diversity of companies and hearing the ins and outs of VC. Pitches that I start out thinking “no chance...” sometimes end up getting investments because the investors see something I’m not seeing. Josh is great! Great show!
hlkjuyrd
Good to listen to when doing homework and stuff like that
Koolkatramen
This podcast never disappoints! I love hearing the pitches and the investor feedback. It’s exciting to hear who will get invested in and who will not. The investors all have great perspective and I have learned a lot. I highly recommend the show if you have been an entrepreneur or are contemplating being an entrepreneur.
iheartlocallabels
Really enjoy it :)

I think the delivery is great (reminds me of Marketplace a bit). I have a feeling that you need to pitch to get to pitch, and that you need to know someone who knows someone, but overall if you do not treat it as "the real deal" and more like "a more intelligent and real Shark Tank" you will enjoy the show.
Erast1977
I just started listening, and I'm already hooked. It's like Shark Tank, but I actually think this is a lot more interesting.
asjarrell
What a great live show! I was laughing out loud as I was walking when the investor were going at each other😂 Great show, and I can’t wait to go to one soon!
Etcrockett
If you like SharkTank then you’ll probably like this even more. This is a consistently entertaining show hat doesn’t get cheesy, and has a different format than your typical podcast format of host-subject interview or two or three hosts bantering about a topic. The companies are diverse and the follow-up interviews add more depth and time to the episode. Panel feedback is solid. A good acquisition by Gimlet.
Enmicropedias
I’ve come to really enjoy the high-quality writing on this show. Each episode weaves a compelling tale in which the listener cares about all the people, their point of view, and what’s possible for the company and the world. Nicely done!
emmlehr
A must have on my podcast list. An entrepreneur can learn from other startups and their journey. Thought provoking, real and inspiring.
Run for Home
I absolutely love listening to this show. It’s my new favorite podcast!
LaurenOlivia93
This is a great podcast around early stage Investing. I like it more than Shark Tank because the startups are more venture focused and the feedback given is realistic and helpful.
JakeNHollywood
This has become one of my go to podcasts. I’m a ceo of a startup and can completely relate to these conversations.
Trees1A
Cannot say enough good things about this show. I tell everyone to listen to it!
Ffghjjjjjkkk
It’s like Shark Tank without the “made for tv” overacting and forced character roles the investors are made to play up on the tv show. Josh Muccio is a likable host who asks great questions in the follow-up postmortem interviews with the entrepreneurs. It would almost be cool if there was a streamed version with a camera so we could see some of the actual pitches. I love this podcast and usually end up researching the companies who pitch.
Growler13
This is must listen to podcasting. It is very well produced and offers a level of professionalism not always seen in the podcast world. Unscripted dialogue between entrepreneurs and potential venture capitalists is dynamic, educational, and entertaining. The host, Josh Muccio, offers insight and commentary throughout the show and ties everything together with post show interviews. One listen and you will be hooked.

I love this! Thank you for this.

College student, long-time entrepreneur here. This is the REAL version of Shark Tank, closer to what I would ideally like out of a show.I love that it is more uncut, and you see more genuine interactions between the investors and the startups. Can not recommend highly enough!
DrewTheCasanova
I love this show. It's hip, real, drama-laden and contains just enough face*palm moments to make me forget that I'm walking the dog, or doing dishes or, gasp, driving. Keep it up!
thelobber
Great show, totally hooked but one investor seems to hog every discussion. Becomes exhausting the more episodes you listen to, suggest rotating the panel
Bannon021
I love that we get to hear an almost 30 minute conversation between the investors and the entrepreneur. Great format, interesting companies and valuable learnings for those of us who love the startup world.
Et c'est parti.
Every episode is so good! I've been listening to them so fast that I'm going to run out soon. They're edited at a nice fast pace without all the manipulative drama that you see on the Shark Tank.
tripidee
I think they can do better job of bringing actually cool StartUps and business ideas because some of them are truly dumb and doesn’t need a half hour show about it. Which also makes me not want to hear them again but the Lunar Wireless I thought was one of the best in a while! Would love to hear more interesting ones like that.
Sepehr.......
Love listening to this podcast every week. They always choose interesting companies and Jillian is my favorite investor.
MagicalMusical
Yes, it shares similarities to Shark Tank. However, Josh Muccio has this amazing ability to dive deep, ask tough questions, and reveal true emotions - all through audio. To Alex Blumberg: If you are reading this, bringing Josh onto Gimlet was probably the best decision you will ever make.
$$$$db$$$$$$!
This is a great podcast that takes you inside the trials and tribulations of starting a business and dealing with all the unexpected challenges that invariably will come up.
Grub7777
I look forward to listening to this show each week, but it was painful to list to the first batch of podcasts when the show moved to Gimlet because no one was getting a deal. It felt like a weekly disappointment, but the bright spot that kept me coming back was the follow-up interviews at the end of each podcast. This second batch of podcasts on Gimlet have been great. I can tell that thought has gone in to how to make the podcast better. I will keep listening and I am sure you will keep make making it better.
San Antonio Wiseman
Love the follow up to see how the companies are doing after the show! Great to hear about companies I would have never known about.
Djice105
Very interesting and enjoyable!

Very well done. I feel like I’m in the room during the pitch. Shows all angles well.
Ffddddddddddddas
A podcast that gives an entertaining and genuine look into pitches to VCs. It’s great! I listened to all of them in a matter of 2 days.
Phat Philly
Great podcast. Like others have mentioned. Similar to shark tank but SO much better. Not Hollywood!!!I love the follow up with the people who pitch a while after they are on the podcast.
Palmerjr
I love shark tank the TV show and this is an audio version of that. Great to hear TE interactions. Hearing the after conversations of the investors is really interesting and interviewing the pitcher to see how they are doing is enlightening.
CLT Wook
This show brings in companies with interesting and distinct products to pitch investors. Companies can be anywhere from idea stage to already selling their product. The conversation is easy to follow even if you don’t know much about business, and it’s fun to see how these companies have done during the followup a few months later. Highly recommend.
malh7
I absolutely love this show, but you have to get a new host. At the very least, you need to teach him how to conduct a good, positive interview. We all like all of the founders that pitch; he doesn’t have to justify the investors’ decision to pass with negative questions.
dunn7
This podcast combines great stories with interesting people and cool ideas. You’ll find yourself switching into Investor Mode, a mode you probably didn’t think you had.
Rootzmac
This is a unique and well-executed take on the Shark Tank concept! The two things that seperate this show from the original tank: the investors thoughts after the entrepreneur leaves the room, and the follow-up interview at the end of the episode. This is a high-quality podcast that I think will interest everyone who enjoys Shark Tank or business in general!
Big T_____
Useful insights into companies and the “followups” built into an episode are great.
R Fred
Better than shark tank, more realistic and intense.
Antttrc
She doesn’t listen and she’s super obnoxious.
icymikeee
I’m not a business person but I still find this compelling.
Johnnyted
Another excellent show from Gimlet! Plenty of interesting business ideas too.
syac1024
I love this podcast. They investors ask lots of good questions and it’s all pretty raw. You can feel the people getting nervous or angry or defensive and that’s great because that’s how a real pitch goes. Excited for more episodes!
Twinger18
Production has improved tremendously. Good work. Some more diverse candidates would be great.
kingkay89
Yeah it’s like shark tank but for your ears and mind :)
jonathon99771
I've been supporting the show since it was a little independent podcast, so it's no surprise that they are now backed by Gimlet and seeing all this success. This is a great way to prep for meetings with possible co-founders, investors, and even just to hone your messaging. Keep it up Josh + team!
AlexEnrique3
Totally enjoying this podcast. It’s an entertaining tutorial on how to pitch to VCs and how not to.
DavidBFox
I love hearing these podcasts. It reminds me of my Entrepenuial Class in college. I look forward to hearing more.
ccard429
Some are more applicable than others, but you can always glean at least one or two small lessons from each episode. Great stuff!
Hazzurim
Since apparently shark tank's "you've got a deal" usually falls apart, I love to hear how things turn out with investors in this show. I love to hear the inventions and I love to hear the process of decision making by investors. Great job!
Cindy l. Word crazy
Crucial to me as an aspiring entrepreneur hearing some of the ins and outs of the real life pitch before I even step into the arena. If you’re struggling for an idea, want to know better what investors look for, or honestly just love hearing about different products and real world start ups, this is he place to be, and the producers are constantly improving the experience.
Friedcarter
If you like shark tank, you'll love this podcast. :)

Good tone, well produced, humble, approachable and great in single servings or binge listening.

Great extension of the StartUp podcast world
Colin Sacramento
If you enjoy Shark Tank, but wish the segments had greater depth and included some follow up, this podcast is for you. I love the passion of the founders and the scrutiny of the investors.
iFeden
Very much enjoy this new podcast. It's like Shark Tank, but with thoughtful investors who collaborate rather than tear each other apart. The host is great as well. I am recommending this to all of my friends.
irishninja124
Every startup founder should listen as you will learn a ton about pitching, answering investor questions, and more. For non founders, it's entertaining enough to give this podcast a shot.
DKearns14
What a great concept and love that they follow up to show what happened after the shark tank like portion of the show. As a new startup founder I love listening every week.
Garden of EdenMG
Entertaining and inspiring!
Gecco25
Like others have said, it is like listening to Shark Tank, but they only focus on one product an episode. They do a really good job with it. Another good one from Gimlet!
Evieko
I thought this part was optional but I guess it isn't.
Rustle win
The pitches are entertaining, but the moderator's comments and follow up make the show outstanding.
Shopper C
I really want to love this podcast because it's produced so well, but I feel like it's the same show every week. Founder: I have a great product (usually). Investors: We think you have a great product but here's why we aren't going to invest... The narration is great and insightful but having a win every now and then would make me more excited about listening instead of wondering what rejection will sound like this week.
Dkretsch64
I don't know anything about investment or start-ups, but I'm learning a lot (that I never knew I wanted to know) through this podcast. Plus I think it shows you how to market yourself and your ideas to an audience, which is useful to anyone. Love the group of investors, it's a great mix. Jillian's my fav ;)
Deirdre K.
I settled on giving this 4 stars. For show concept and production quality... 5 stars. But after listening to 10 episodes, I have to say the results of the show is 3-stars. It's becoming pretty predictable. Engaging pitch, lots of questions, all the investors pass. For Season 3, I hope the show finds some new investors that are maybe more risk takers or a bit more gung-ho with their funds. It's annoying how few 'deals' actually have been made. Shark Tank would be off the air if this was the pattern for 80-90% of the pitches.
RadarRadio
Beyond the Shark Tank experience, The Pitch has follow up and inspection of what worked and what didn't, for both the business idea and the pitch experience

Great podcast! I love the follow up after the pitch to find out if the investors followed through. It’s a great format.
SophieSSH
I learn a lot from this show about entrepreneurship
Alex Pedersen
I love making my own predictions and whether I would’ve invested if I were a billionaire too😂
Wannabe Investor
Great show

I love it😻😻😻

Bbatres
Really enjoy it :)
gbjj____

Better than SharkTank

Really enjoy listening. Well done.

I love this! Thank you for this.
aspiring social entrepreneur
Djice105
Very interesting and enjoyable!
redblair
Bbsch1989
Good tone, well produced, humble, approachable and great in single servings or binge listening.
Szechwan scot
Kojitator
Interesting companies, fun pitches, great host: subscribed!
catmug
Real startups, entrepreneurs, investors. Good writing and presentation. I don't like Shark Tank because it seems so fake. This podcast is entertaining and feels much more plausible.
Meds0579
Interesting business ideas by passionate founders pitching to real life investors.
Maria in Baltimore
Such a great insight on the dos and don'ts for pitching VCs.
SampSays
The Pitch "features entrepreneurs in need of venture funding as they pitch to a live panel of angel investors" and it's great. You can hear the passion of the entrepreneurs and learn so much from the invesntors. Josh is a fantastic host! Thank you Gimlet Media for making The Pitch part of the Gimlet Family.
matt_in_enfield
at first i thought the show was too much like shark tank but i think this format works much better. the voice overs summarizing the pitches and giving background allow the listener to feel the pitch itself rather than be preempted and emotionally manipulated by a backstory. good job, love the show!!!
raaxyl
This review is LONG overdue. I've been a listener since Josh first tweeted about the first episode and enjoyed each episode since. I eagerly awaited for an update after the first season ended and have been impressed with the way the show has pivoted along the way.I learn something new with each listen, find myself taking notes along the way and apply insights to my own career in "startup world". Keep up the great work team!
Jhos441
As an aspiring entrepreneur, this podcast is invaluable.
BoredomBoy
This podcast is everything you love about startups and pitches without cutting informational corners. It's raw innovative and amazing.
Hsusnzksnzkma
I'm really glad that Gilmet added The Pitch to its family of shows. In the same way that Season One of Startup puts you right in the middle of the action of starting a company, The Pitch puts you in the center of the action as startups pitch to potential funders. The Pitch is accessible to people with a passing interest in entrepreneurship, but also sophisticated enough to keep more knowledgesable listeners engaged. This is definitely my new favorite podcast.
Dude Friend of the Show
Always interesting takeaways from each start up. Interesting even if you're not an entrepreneur.
chubabubub
A must listen for any entrepreneur!
advertflair
I Appreciate an informed podcast host who comes at it from what seems like a journalistic approach with research. Doesn't interject so much of his own personality to make it about it him but is still interesting. So many business podcasts are set promo ego fests, this one is good. Great summaries and really good editing.
Atlantanre
I love hearing the new startup pitches and how the investors respond. it's not a world I'm very familiar with and its very fun to get a peek into it via The Pitch

A great addition to the Gimlet lineup. Josh has created a really fun format here. Download it now.

I'm writing this review because I support entrepreneurship!Everything from "How It's Made" to "Success! How I Did It" to "Y-Combinator" promotes using creativity to solve real world problems for the benefit of humanity! The Pitch might evoke the spirit of starting something in you to help you start a company! Listen to it!

Just finished listening to all episodes on Season 2 (all the Gimlet Media produced episodes?) and I thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. Can't wait for the next episode to be released. It's great listening to the pitch by itself but the follow ups conducted by the host add a lot of value to each show. Question To Host: Will you continue keep in touch with founders for extended periods of time? Would be cool to have occasional follow up episodes to see how companies are growing over the course of a year or more.
ReadThePlaque
I am absolutely loving this podcast! It's like shark tank but they go into more detail about the businesses and where they end up after the pitch. Very well done and a great listen.
jondelavega
Great show. I wasn't sure this concept would make for great listening vs. visual format a la Sharktank, but I was pleasantly surprised. I look forward to each new episode.
newyork10r
Another great Gimlet podcast!
CCWC1
It's a shark tank for your ears.
Legendary614
I can see why Gimlet Media bought this: The production quality is high, it's suspenseful and entertaining, and most importantly, you learn stuff about pitching to VCs and various tech sectors. Josh is a great host/interviewer, and it's beneficial that he's also an entrepreneur. It also seems like a super smart move on Gimlet's part because the format is great/a lot cheaper than a typical, highly edited, narrative-driven podcast.
Laura Rosbrow-Telem2
It is a cool show. The host has a purpose unlike a lot of shows with this premise. Give it a try if you are sort of interested. And they follow up regardless of outcome.
catibaby
Enjoy hearing about new companies and how they gain investments.

Why not on top 100????

It is so interesting to hear a blend of pitches...from women, from college kids, from older folks...and all different products and apps and services! Can't wait for each episode. I am a subscriber for sure...

*Heavy metal music. *Self-affirming mantras. *The Pitch Podcast. Whatever it takes to get you through a workout, amiright?! As an entrepreneur myself, nothing gets my blood pumping more than listening to others pitch their products and business ideas. The rise, the fall and all of the ups and downs between the investors and pitchers...SO EXCITING! I've even cut workouts short to run home to flesh out an idea! A sweet guitar rift might be what gets you through the gym grind but THE PITCH is my JAM!

This show takes you inside conversations you don't usually get to hear. It's a must for anyone interested in business and fascinating for everyone else.

Entertaining and informative glimpse into real business deals. Love this show!

Well organized show about entrepreneurs pitching ideas to investors. Really like the work you're doing!!

It's a more well-rounded version of "shark tank"! I love learning about the startups and hearing the feedback from investors
Emceedal
I give everything Gimlet puts their name behind a try - but they aren't all worth sticking with. The Pitch is great!
Koojay0
I started listening when this podcast joined Gimlet (season 2) and then went back and listened to the old episodes and I have to say I really appreciate what Gimlet has done with what was already an intriguing podcast. The new format really keeps me engaged, and I love how the personalities of the investors as well as the entrepreneurs are a big part of it. Find myself actually interested in products I normally would have no interest in (sports and casinos!!)
Kattacg
I give this a three star rating to suggest that this show has potential but feels unsure of its audience. Listen to a current episode and then scroll back a bit-take a pre-Gimlet episode like "C-Note". Episodes were shorter and way more dense. Investors asking sharp questions and entrepreneurs similarly well prepared. The current crop of shoes conveys this shark tank like gorge between the sage investor and the naive entrepreneur-which while perhaps true at times feels, frankly, a played out metaphor. The repeated intros for investors on each episode are just too long, and I find the more senior investors on the show (sorry, don't know names), so smug and condescending. Perhaps the investors will get swapped out with seasons. My initial point was who is the audience? Feels like pre Gimlet the audience might have been a little more savvy, maybe in the biz (of starting/funding businesses). I get that in gimlet era audience necessarily must be broader and less able to enjoy an episode like C-Note (smart empowered female investor looking to do something awesome-that's a story and something worth listening to). Instead we get dudes wanting to make Las Vegas gambling toys.Maybe just one Vegas product per season? It's easy to be a critic and I do believe the show has potential. Avoid the trap of the struggling Gimlet properties trying to please everybody (surprisingly awesome, science vs, the new catch all show, the podcast teaser show). I hope that this show can assume more intelligence and curiosity than an NPR'd shark tank. And get in the weeds.Nate

If you like Shark Tank, you'll love this podcast.

This is just a recipe for an engaging show. Very awesome to hear the real experiences of these founders
Fckfacezito
Fascinating podcast that highlights new business endeavors.
Sm19876
Enjoyed listening to the podcast but didn't care for the narration. I felt it was redundant and unnecessary. An explanation at the beginning and end would be fine.. But not throughout the podcast.I'll give it a few more episodes but if the narration continues as was the episode on Imirror I won't continue listening.
1500 coins!
I thoroughly enjoy this podcast and have tweaked my own investor pitches based on listening to these episodes. I like it so much, I've actually applied to present to The Pitch!Every founder should listen to these episodes and learn from them.
Tavis Schriefer
The Pitch is an excellent podcast. Besides being educational, it is a great example of how the forced drama of "Shark Tank" is unnecessary. However, the podcast stumbles by having the narrator endlessly chime in with voice overs to explain/summarize/dramatize the proceedings. Sometimes this is helpful something we cannot see (such as the design of a product). More often, it serves to summarize what just happened/why a statement is a big deal. Whenever the pitch dialogue drops out in these instances, the narrative flow screeches to a halt, and I'm left wondering what the investors are actually saying (rather than a summary of why the unheard content matters). I've listened to a few episodes now and I'm now subscribed, also I have enjoyed it for many of the reasons already mentioned in prior reviews. It's well produced and an easy listen. BUT, as a start-up CEO myself for the past 2 years, and having been in more than I want to remember pitches myself I can credibly say that when the tape is not rolling many of these Angels and VC's are a hell of lot less freindly and polite. It's one of the things I often debrief with my team about, the large percentage of Angels, High net-worth, and VCs that are really out of touch with what it is like on this side of the table. It takes no more effort to be respectful and decent. I'm not bitter at all if this sounds critical, rather I am attempting to offer a bit of reality from first hand expereince. It would be a better podcast if that real-world could be captured, heck maybe it will be in future episodes. BTW, we have taken funds, and thankfully we have been in a positon to take money from investors we respect and feel great about partnering with so far...! Enjoying the podcast, ty!
RFMCDERMOTT
Great concept! Provides detailed feedback from participating investors. Presents continuation of founder story months after pitch. I wish I could watch the tapes from all of my pitches to learn and improve.
JjLuft
I am addicted! I love how they follow up months after the pitch to see where they are now. Great podcast!
Gingerismybabygirl
Much more realistic than Shark Tank. Learn how to pitch my ideas better on each episode

Feels like listening to a good story or conversation, not just watching people create dramatic tension

As is becoming par for the course with Gimlet podcasts, The Pitch picks up where Startup left off. In the amazing first episode of Season 2, we hear the story of Babyscripts,, who is looking to revolutionize prenatal care. The story is well-crafted and provides the right amount of tension and follow through. If you like Shark Tank, you'll love The Pitch!
carddante
I'm a huge fan of Gimlet podcasts (Reply All & Startup my 2 favorites) and gave this a try. Josh is easy to listen to and I love the concept. I listened to the first, Babyscripts, and enjoyed it thoroughly. Fantastic!

Didn't think this podcast could get better, but season 2 is amazing & totally improves upon a great concept. Keep it up!
mdb1632
It's a better version of the shark tank

Loved the behind-the-scene story on how this became part of the Gimlet portfolio. Excited to hear more shark-tank-esque stories and what the investors really think why it will do well or fail.

This show is such an amazing look into investing that we don't normally get to see. Also really love the follow ups at the end.

Found this a year or so ago and have listened to them all. Great for entrepreneurs or anyone interested in fundraising and startups. This is currently my number 2 podcast behind how I built this and now ahead of Startup. Could climb to 1 soon.

Josh has been doing an awesome job with this podcast and I'm excited to see how it evolves under the Gimlet brand.

the thing I like about this show is that you can enjoy it if you're really into business, but you can also just listen for the drama!

Gimlet knows how to tell a story!
dbkbikes
Josh is real. What hooked me is his moxie to record the moment Gimlet offered to acquire the show. Why? Because anyone who has created anything and then let it loose in the wild gets choked up when they see that their baby can fly and take care of itself. And that feeling is visceral, like thinking of how it feels to carry your sleeping child into the house after they fell asleep in the car. Great podcast!!!
Irregular_Apocalypse

Spencer Camp

Another great Gimlet podcast!

This is just a recipe for an engaging show. Very awesome to hear the real experiences of these founders

Fascinating podcast that highlights new business endeavors.

Please trust the content and let your listeners in on the action more.

Learn how to pitch my ideas better on each episode
jeffcspears
Great podcast! Another win From Gimlet media. I love hearing the story of how The Pitch got started. It makes me love it even more. Hoping to start a company one day and be on it.
PC0ck
I heard about this podcast on Start Up and have loved it so far. A simple pitch for the pitch is it is a podcast for of Shark Tank with more depth and less drama.
ThomasUmstattd
This app gets me through my workouts. Thank you.
Fifatastic
Keep it up Gimlet!

Feels like listening to a good story or conversation, not just watching people create dramatic tension
MaxThePodcat
Fantastic!
Ruth-D
Didn't think this podcast could get better, but season 2 is amazing & totally improves upon a great concept. Keep it up!
mdb1632
It's a better version of the shark tank
HaydenMcfly
Loved the behind-the-scene story on how this became part of the Gimlet portfolio. Excited to hear more shark-tank-esque stories and what the investors really think why it will do well or fail.
Mevlow
This show is such an amazing look into investing that we don't normally get to see. Also really love the follow ups at the end.
victoriajohanna
Found this a year or so ago and have listened to them all. Great for entrepreneurs or anyone interested in fundraising and startups. This is currently my number 2 podcast behind how I built this and now ahead of Startup. Could climb to 1 soon.
Schatty68
Who knew a pitch could be so riveting! The stakes are high, the questions are tough. Entertaining, engaging, educational and very well made.
I ❤ comedy
fun to eavesdrop on biz deals
moterola
Love this kind of show. Has me thinking critically about how I run my own busniess. Can't wait for the next episode!
Lostingraceland
The pitch offers a unique tone on the gimlet network. It reminds me a little bit of a game show in presentation. Great show overall
Artistanal
Josh has been doing an awesome job with this podcast and I'm excited to see how it evolves under the Gimlet brand.
TheJournalizer
It's like shark tank in audio form but better! More detail and depth about the companies, founders and investors. I will definitely be back for more.
MikeMoneyvegas
Great first episode. Neat to hear the ups and downs of raising capital.
Emster247
So fresh sounding!
Rwrw0606
the thing I like about this show is that you can enjoy it if you're really into business, but you can also just listen for the drama!
WooblyOBalls?
Gimlet knows how to tell a story!
dbkbikes
Josh is real. What hooked me is his moxie to record the moment Gimlet offered to acquire the show. Why? Because anyone who has created anything and then let it loose in the wild gets choked up when they see that their baby can fly and take care of itself. And that feeling is visceral, like thinking of how it feels to carry your sleeping child into the house after they fell asleep in the car. Great podcast!!!
Irregular_Apocalypse
I heard a preview of The Pitch on StartUp and was immediately hooked. Great job Josh! You have a new fan.
Madalyn Sklar
Love this show
lolllzzzdoggsss
I'm biased but... The thing I love about this show is that it combines the drama of reality TV, with the insights from the best business journalism podcasts. I always get a better understanding of how a particular business and industry operates. Doesn't sound like anything else out there.
Crazy4celebriteez
Really enjoyed how this show builds the drama. The entrepreneurs are getting real feedback and REAL investment offers after they pitch. The best part of the episode is hearing an update from the entrepreneur. There are so many terms/conditioners that the listener doesn't know about, and unique to each deal. It is nice to get an update and actually hear if they got the money or not. Super imformative!
MHMChi
Doesn't sound like anything else. Business lessons in a reality format with really smart investors giving practical advice to hungry startup founders. Can't get enough.

Like Shark Tank, only on a podcast. It's more in depth - highlighting strengths and weaknesses of the business.

Hey, As a big Shark Tank fan I was a bit skeptical of your podcast when I first heard about it. I was totally wrong. I love your podcast. The little extra part after the pitch where you interview the entrepreneurs is the perfect addition to the podcast that Shark Tank is missing. So many other great things I could say. Keep up the great work and I will be sure to share this with my fellow shark tank lovers.
Luke Mankris aka BowtieGuy
If you enjoy Shark Tank but are looking for more in-depth discussion with the start-ups and on the investor's decision making then this is a podcast for you. I enjoyed many of the pitches and getting an insider view of how the show evolved on the first season. The second season is even better.
Delilahisadog
I knew I was hooked when I listened to one episode a day at work until I was caught up. I knew I had to write a five star review when the podcast went on hiatus and I started having withdraws! I can't wait for the new episodes to start again. (hint, hint!)
HonestReports
Full of amazing insights into the minds of investors and solid wisdom for developing a business model and crafting a pitch. I just learned about the show couple of weeks ago and binge listened season one to catch up. It's the perfect thing for a new founder like me to listen to while working on my business canvass. Great job with the improvements The Pitch team has made from Episode 1 to present! This show is definitely a gem!
Chantigalo
I love Shark Tank, but I know much of it is purely entertainment. This podcast is more focused on the pitches than the drama, with after actions review from both the investors and the founders.

Especially as an outsider to the investment scene, it's fascinating to get inside the room where it happens. It also has a great pace, cutting out fluff and probably a lot of details I would lose interest in.

Highly Recommend!! Just listened to Episodes 1 & 2 from the new Season (Season 2). Really love the new format! Super interesting to listen to the live back and forth between founders and real investors. I always learn something. Josh Muccio does an excellent job of hosting and bringing in explanation and storyline where needed. It's also a huge step up to have a panel of investors who will or will not actually decide to invest on the show. Love it!
karlamm22
This is a great show. Real ideas, real people, none of the Shark Tank laquer. Nothing better than hearing these conversations happen in actual business situations instead of on TV!
To Dare is Human
Just subscribed for Season 2 and I love the first 2 episodes. I've already told my friends about the show! Must listen!!
Kevin C L
Well done, very appealing to a variety of audiences with intellectual content/material.
teamreyna
If you are a founder/startup, this is a must podcast to add to your list...awesome startups, great stories/pitches, but the best part are questions/feedback from the VCs/panel - better than a MBA...it will definitely prepare you for your next pitch
RJP PPLLC
Lots of insights - great pace and some fun too !!! Thank you !
Julien boubel
It is good to hear the down to earth talk between entrepreneur and angel investors -- not full of drama, but solid discussions about interesting startups. This series offers a wonderful learning experience for both entrepreneurs and angel investors. It helps them know what questions to ask (for angel investors) and what questions to expect (entrepreneurs).
GolfMomo
This is such a unique and cool show. It's obvious how much time and effort they put into the production value, and that goes a long way for making such a great show. I listen to every episode, and have learned a ton about the pitching and capital raising process. Highly recommend.
ErikBison
Just listen to it. Tell your family to listen to it. You will enjoy listening to Josh and all the info he is bringing it to you.
Happy Listener 127
Excellent podcast for startups! I highly recommend this podcast. I love the format. If you're going to give a pitch, you should go listen to All episodes of the Pitch!!
BR8-er
I have been listening to The Pitch since it was originally aired and have enjoyed almost every episode. Josh Muccio is a great host and does an excellent job finding awesome entrepreneurs to "pitch" their business to a panel of live investors. This podcast takes you through an inside look at what it takes to actually pitch your business to investors. Looking forward to seeing what they do next.
Blake Wood (@Blakeawood)
Get the inside scoop and learn how to influence VCs. Be a fly on the wall as cofounders pitch hardware to software to services. Then hear the discussion as investors explain why they would or wouldn't move forward. Each episode of this podcast gives me a great idea and an action item to improve my startup. Plus - super entertaining!
erin@storybarrow
Always love listening to this show to get inside the heads of VCs and hear other founders pitch. Learn something every episode.
the909guy
This's so inspiring. I can't wait to listen to more episodes.

One of my favorite podcasts! These guys are down to earth and they do a great job of getting authentic founders and knowledgeable investors on the show. I also like that Josh and Sheel are constantly testing new ideas out like pitch coaching and expanding outside the US. Keep up the great work guys!
@zrealmikejordan
Publish more episodes please :)
Eugene Reiiss
For founders, investors, entreprenuers, this show is a must listen.
Yashmakka
I just discovered this podcast and as a Shark Tank addict and entrepreneur myself I was thrilled to find this show. I love how the show allows the founder to elaborate and explain their business and financials. The only thing I find myself wishing the show did differently was to allow the entrepreneur to say, “I’m seeking X dollars for X equity.” I find myself really curious while listening to the show what the investors think of their valuation and ask and I’d like to hear them respond and critique based on that. Besides that, crazy awesome show!!
Todd Swenddal
Good format and content. Just wish they’d give a few details about the company in the text description.

In the startup podcast category there are some greats, a16z, Product Hunt, Y Combinator, Startup School Radio, but this show is my all time favorite. Short episodes get right to the point and always entertain. I listen to episodes of The Pitch before any other shows and often I listen to episodes more than once. Thanks Josh & Sheel for putting this show together. I'm a fan!
Shakti Ku
Found this show while searching for a podcast like Shark Tank. Not really like Shark Tank, but I still love it.
Wolfmanstar
The Pitch is one of my favorite startup podcasts. Right up there with the StartUp Podcast. Keep up the good work Josh and team.
Mami3001
Chatted with Josh last night and found him to be an energetic dude who is going to keep this podcast rocking along. He has the vision and skills to make this one of the better produced Investing podcasts out there. It takes a ton of work to create each episode! So many files, so many meetings, so many moving parts. They pull it together though and nail it every time.
natalme
I can't wait to listen to more episodes. This podcast is an eye-opener to me. As an investors, I think I have a lot to gain. I'm fully here!
MANDYOBE123
Everything is all about startups! That is why I really appreciate this podcast. All the episodes are suberb and loaded.
DAVID PELS
I love everything about this podcast. This is a great platform for investors. I've really gained a lot from this podcast.
AAKOLINS
It's very fun to get the founder/investor interaction live.
Tongzhi
I was happy to find a pitching podcast. Great stuff. My opinion: keep the format and create courses/programs for your niche market. I'll keep listening!
WackyJuan
From both a consumption and production perspective, this content is great. It exposes the VC + Founder discussion and provides a platform for founders to get exposure and tell their story to potential investors. Looking forward to participating on the pitch soon!
ArtSquare App
The Pitch is like Shark Tank, but with real companies that entrepreneurs can learn from. The pitch to investors has been a mystery for so long, and this show helps demystify it — in a great format.
jacob1540
The premise of this show is interesting - a real-life experience. I like the production audio for the host and bumpers. After listening to a number of episodes, the maturity of this show continues to improve in structure and audio - well done.
angusnelson.com
Love the podcast. It's fun to hear about all of these different early-stage businesses, and particularly to hear investors' reactions to them.
Big fan 77382
Love the show. Quickly becoming one of my favorite podcasts. My only comment is stick to for profits. Being someone who works in non-profit evaluation, your episode on new story left a lot to be desired. Overhead evaluation, impact metrics, and partnership model just to name a few. Keep up the great work.
heathcliffbars
Impressive show.
danesanders
Great podcast to see how investors think and evaluate businesses. It's quite informative to listen to the different styles that entrepreneurs pitch their product/vision.
sffurious
Plus, sheel's radio voice is amazing.

I am a big fan of high quality podcasts and this one definitely is in my top 5. Amazingly informative, great charismatic smart hosts, the best 20 minutes of my day. Great for anyone who loves startups!
Tokyomango
The Pitch is an extremely well-thought out, well-produced, entertaining and informative process on venture capital, startups and pitches. A must-listen for all those in the space, or those seeking to be a part!
LoveMovies&Tech
Love this concept of 'Pitching' idea's to investors, without all the drama of the TV show Shark Tank! Also, Josh Muccio does an excellent job hosting the program.
Vcdz
This podcast is great! It's entertaining and informative, it perfectly captures the entertaining side of startups, and gives the listener the perspective of an investor (which undoubtably drives many listeners to BE investors). I have no complaints about this show, but would like to give some improvement ideas:-larger group of in house investors. A conference call type situation would be great.-not sure if this is happening or not, but guest key investors every episode outside of that one dude.-more professional soundboard. Although I enjoy the subconscious feeling of a stereotypical noise to emphasize the yes or no.-better provided contact info for the startups-background music is always nice, and keeps it feeling fresh and interestingBut Ya, love the podcast and keeeep making episodes please.
Cade Richards
This is a must listen resource for entrepreneurs and investors alike. It provides honest, real-world insight into what makes a pitch great, and what investors are really looking for. Great concept, well executed. Looking forward to the next episode!
adeh
Love love love this! Great hearing the back and forth between investor and founder.
Liza963
I have a degree in Finance, but I never learned much about pitching to VCs. It's helpful to hear examples of real pitches and the questions that investors are seeking to answer. I also appreciate the 20-minute show format as many other podcasts are far too long. I would recommend announcing the URL of the company who pitched at the end of each show so that it's easy for me to learn more about them if I'm interested. I know that it's in the show notes, but it isn't hyperlinked in Overcast. Moreover, I often listen to podcasts while driving and can't navigate through the show notes before the episode ends, but I can remember a URL if I hear it.Also, I agree with some of the other reviews that you should get rid of the sound effects and lose the game show angle. It cheapens your excellent content.
blwinters
What to love?- The stories. Hearing from founders in the trenches is incredibly motivating. - The investors. Thoughts from investors, how they view problems, what they want… it’s great insight.- The hosts. Great questions. Great flow. Great sound.- The time. It’s a quick listen. I love quick listens. What to improve?- Continue improving audio quality among guests
ethanael
Can't wait to see where it goes! Interesting format, perfect length, and engaging people. Keep up the good work!

I'm a startup founder and really appreciate the insights that I learn by listening. This is like a better shark tank. Enjoying the interactions!
Chris221r
So many golden nuggets come through this show that you'd never think of.Same thing with the feedback from the investors.Great podcast and great host voice!
Savviest hippo
Major congrats for Josh and Sheel for putting this together, I love how it’s not super refined and gives a fly on the wall perspective of the pitches.
david_diam
I had heard about The Pitch a couple of months back as a listener to the Daily Hunt podcast and was really looking forward to it, as the concept really grabbed me. I listened to the first two episodes now and was not disappointed. This will certainly become one of my regular podcasts to listen to. I was able to gain a lot from listening to how the investors pitched and the type of questions the angels have when looking to invest. Great show and look forward to more episodes.
RobertWilliger
Love the focus on lifting the curtain on the ideation process and funding conversation. Also love the idea of opening up the conversation and funding environment to the audience!
Shaanh
Fun listening to new companies pitch their startups. Packs a lot in a short 20 mins
Cr4fty444
Really enjoyed the first two episodes. That being said, chill with the "Let's do it!" and buzzer sound effects. Makes me feel like an idiot for listening to this. It's also especially hard, because I'm thinking about starting something of my own, and I'm using it to hone my pitching skill. Making it sound like a game show, makes the entire industry seem like a game show. And it's stark when you get the guest VC's on and they are serious. And I know the founders are serious, so it seems between; me, the VC's, the founders, and the creators of this podcast, that the creators are the only ones not taking it seriously. Aside from that nit, I really enjoyed this, I hope it takes off.
Inkillable
Really really enjoyed hearing Sheel ask questions and the interaction. Wish Dave McClure had better audio.
Aditichokshi
If you like shark tank you are going to love this Podcast. You are able to hear companies pitch their product and listen to the reasons why the investers would or would not invest in the company.
Steve22992
Great format for a podcast. Real startup pitches under the real scrutiny of experienced investors. Josh is the consummate host and keeps the pace fast. Plus it’s fun to listen and ask yourself… “would I invest???"
Zeodad
If you want to hear how investors analyze deals, including the questions they ask in real life...this is the podcast for you!
Startup Stella
Sheel is an under the radar silicon valley all star. He has a great angel investment track record (and through angel.co & Funders Club) and has some cool start-up experience. I have pitched him on a couple of ideas and found his feedback to be super valuable (but he hasn’t invested in my current company yet). I like the first two episodes, though I would like to hear a bit more from Sheel, and a bit more back and forth in the pitch section (more conversational) but these guys are just getting starting and I can’t wait for more!
Linzor Holden
Great concept and forum. Smooth, entertaining, and professional production.
ArvErvMason
This is an awesome way to learn about new companies/products and hear directly from founders. And that Sheel guy has such a silky smooth voice.
Neil Devani
Really enjoying The Pitch so far - in love with the concept and this seems like an awesome opportunity to get an inside look into the minds of investors and startup founders. Well done Josh and Sheel!
brianlovin
Love this! Super entertaining and As an entrepreneur I actually learned something that will help me the next time I have to pitch investors.
Col. Elguapo
Loved the sound quality and the back and forth between the startup and the investors. The go/no go vote from the investors and their reasoning behind their decisions was captivating as well. Here’s hoping this show runs for a long time.
Great Show, Keep it Up
Josh and Sheel are killing it. The Pitch is super entertaining, and, as an aspiring entrepreneur, it’s educational. Excited to see this show evolve!

This show is a new company each week, with thoughtful questions and commentary from investors. A must listen for founders looking for pitch advice and for investors looking for deals.

Great podcast - this is amazing

Can't wait to hear more! Also excited to hear about successful stories. Makes me want to start up a company! Great idea!

It’s rare that so many people get to chime in on startups pitching their product unless you attend a demo day. Here, founders all over can listen to and learn from the individuals pitching for investment, in preparation for their big day. Angels and VCs can chime in and fund the company which adds so much more to the pot!

Seriously, hearing founders pitch their startups followed by actual early stage investor feedback. Simple, brilliant and very well done. Keep up the great work. (McClure, next time...more sound booth less Denney's please). Well done, looking forward to more great episodes.

Being in the room when startups pitch and investors give feedback is an amazing opportunity for anyone to learn about the business of founding and running a startup.

This is a great idea. I couldn’t tell from the intro, but I’d love for not only legitimate investors to be able to invest, but also the general audience (that’s me). It’s exciting to hear about new up-and-coming products, companies and ideas. Thank you!

It's like Shark Tank, but for real, with real fundable companies and real money. Entertaining and awesome

I just binged every single episode of this show in about 1 month. I was listening to it constantly and could not stop. Really great investors. Very educational. Makes me feel like so much more prepared in my own business ideas and endeavors... I'm sad that I caught up to the current episode and don’t have more to binge.

I'm learning more from this podcast than almost every other business podcast I'm subscribed to. The authenticity is completely addictive. I love how you guys don't over edit the conversations. I also like how the host follows up with the founders and the investors. This really needs to be on television!
Big Dyce
The Pitch is easily my favorite business-related podcast, but it's also so much more than that: It's genuinely dramatic, emotionally engaging and inspiring. Simply put, The Pitch is one of the best and most satisfying podcasts available right now.
T. Michael Martin
I'm an investor and I love to watch shark tank with my family. This podcast is so much better. It accurately reflects what my interactions are like with entrepreneurs on a daily basis. Great show!
Jakeucb
I reviewed 1507 startup pitches last year, so I can definitively say that these pitches are top tier. This is the kind of pitch quality and investor insight that I normally have to drive hours or fly on a plane to hear. High quality pitches that I can listen to while I'm folding laundry. What more can I ask for?

I just started listening to the show. I'm going back and listening to old episodes now. Love it!

What a lovely podcast. I love it so much.
Blakejoe142
One of my favorite podcasts! These guys are down to earth and they do a great job of getting authentic founders and knowledgeable investors on the show. I also like that Josh and Sheel are constantly testing new ideas out like pitch coaching and expanding outside the US. Keep up the great work guys!
@zrealmikejordan
Publish more episodes please :)
Eugene Reiiss
For founders, investors, entreprenuers, this show is a must listen.

This podcast has been good information.I recommend it!

Neehu12345

I have talked to josh at the #startup channel and he is a really knowledgeable guy, this podcast is amazing to for entrepreneurs or aspiring entrepreneurs!
Atrosity
SquallBL
Excited to see this show evolve!
cabo514
Extremely useful for founders and funders alike.
Swift107
Great podcast, with terrific guests. If you're interested in tech investing, this is a must-listen!
halfsharkhalfdauphine
Worth it to hear what works and what doesn't in a pitch
AGHayesValley
This isn't Shark Tank. Really authentic insight at how investors think about early stage startups!
Jzloof
It’s early on for The Pitch but you can already tell it’s going to be a must-listen. Insightful, witty, and just plain fun.
gadflysf
Great concept, great hosts. Can't wait for more episodes!
Bintatolo
This show is a new company each week, with thoughtful questions and commentary from investors. A must listen for founders looking for pitch advice and for investors looking for deals.
Bengh06
Great podcast - this is amazing
Riskybiz17
Can't wait to hear more! Also excited to hear about successful stories. Makes me want to start up a company! Great idea!
Tybek
It’s rare that so many people get to chime in on startups pitching their product unless you attend a demo day. Here, founders all over can listen to and learn from the individuals pitching for investment, in preparation for their big day. Angels and VCs can chime in and fund the company which adds so much more to the pot!
imcatnoone
Sehr gut. Ich mag es.👳🏽
Ndiggle556757735
Killer concept and smart people. Very entertaining and insightful. Looking forward to the next one!
VeeshJ
Seriously, hearing founders pitch their startups followed by actual early stage investor feedback. Simple, brilliant and very well done. Keep up the great work. (McClure, next time...more sound booth less Denney's please). Well done, looking forward to more great episodes.
Neddotcom
Being in the room when startups pitch and investors give feedback is an amazing opportunity for anyone to learn about the business of founding and running a startup.
mubashariqbal
What a great way to connect the right audience to these companies and startups!
Lamagna
I’ve been looking forward to this for a while. It doesn’t disappoint! Great job.
erictwill
Very excited to see how this podcast evolves! I can see this being a great resource especially with the general solicitation laws that were passed by the JOBS act provision. Looking forward to this!
Hhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!
Great idea! Fills the niche for allowing angel investors to find startups to invest in and vice versa. Looking forward to hearing these pitches. Shark Tank on podcast!
Always right now
Excited to hear Sheel evaluate pitches!
Sugadelcafe
Glad this exists.

Love the concept can't wait to hear more episodes
Rsmohnot
This is a great idea; love hearing directly from founders - in some years when these people are super-successful and famous I’ll be able to say “I was there!” (kinda)ps love Sheel’s sexy voice - what a bonus!

Splendid concept, I’m tuned in

You won't believe how good this podcast is! Listen in - you won't be disappointed. The music is sweet too!
LtotheM
This is a great idea. I couldn’t tell from the intro, but I’d love for not only legitimate investors to be able to invest, but also the general audience (that’s me). It’s exciting to hear about new up-and-coming products, companies and ideas. Thank you!
ryannordyke
So pumped for The Pitch to finally launch!!! Good stuff on the way!!

Absolutely LOVE the show BUT…
I absolutely love this show and haven’t missed an episode! However, the amount of up speak on each episode is a bit distracting. I hope it’s not just me that feels this way lol.
Full pitch unedited
Great episode listening to the full pitch, unedited! Totally great hearing all the details and makes the founder more impressive being able to handle all those questions that are non sequential, in real time. Good practice for founders to hear the line of questions in true, full speed. Also, since you you have 100+ episodes, and significant breaks between each season, you can do full length re-releases to engage audience between seasons. Or even during seasons when you need to extend out. Guy does this very well with “How I Built this”. Love the show! Glad you are back. Been with you since Season 1!
Love listening with my 12 year old daughter
My daughter has started a baking business and was on Food Network's Kids Baking Championship. Listening to these pitches is helping her understand why it is so important to know her numbers for when she wants to expand her current business or one she creates in the future. Thanks to all the founders out there!
Love this show
Not a business person but I still find this show super interesting, and the stories that come after the pitch make it feel more personal
So Happy To See You Back
I am so impressed with the way you bought your podcast back from Spotify and are reinvigorating it in a new way going forward. Like many listeners, I really missed The Pitch and I’m excited it is back and even better!
Can’t wait for Wednesdays!
I can’t express how excited I am that The Pitch is coming back! This more than almost anything makes me feel like things are finally returning to normal since 2020.
Super excited that you’re back soon
Re-listening to old pitches is nice but getting new ones is even better. Good luck!
Glad you are back!
Like others, this show was part of what has inspired me to become an entrepreneur. It provides examples, business insights, strategic advice… a lot of wisdom packed into every episode. Excited for the new season.
Finally!
So happy to hear the pitch is coming back — I really missed it!!!
Love it!
One of the best business/entrepreneur-oriented shows out there. So entertaining and educational :)
Really good
I would love to hear more food startups to.
Great podcast!
Always both entertaining and informative, highly recommend!
Another great podcast from Gimlet
Really enjoy the structure of this. It’s exceeded expectations. Very helpful being a fly on the wall and hearing the pitches and entrepreneurs that get cash, and comparing them to the ones who don’t.
Love the pitch but the latest story is off
If the founder Kevin can afford his two kids go to private high school this year, then why he can’t afford a developer to turn on the pay wall following apples requirements.
The podcast that got me hooked on podcasts
Absolutely love The Pitch. If you enjoy Shark Tank, you will definitely like this show. I love the check ins, both at the end of the episode and in later episodes. I never miss an episode.
Great for the Biz mind
If your remotely interested in learning more about or starting a business, this is the podcast for you! This team casts a wide net around the start-up experience, from before the pitch room (concept stage) to after revenue generation, they truly uncover all of the various nuances companies face along their journey.
Every episode is fantastic
The Pitch is one of my favorite podcasts. I love the authentic view of the entrepreneur, VCs, and the pitch. It’s everything you hope for watching tv shows like Shark Tank, but without the taint of network tv.
Fellow entrepreneurial and creative people....
This show was made for you. I work in education, but have always been interested in the the path of entrepreneurship. I really enjoy listening to this podcast. I do wish it offered more episodes with female guests.
Great Podcast
This is one of the few podcasts I enjoy listening to. It’s fun to hear new ideas and how investors react. The host is great and it’s an all around great podcast. After hearing an ad on Spotify, I had to listen and it was a great decision!
Pitch...Perfect for budding entrepreneurs
This podcast is perfect to help entrepreneurs avoid some of the pitfalls when dealing with VC. I love that in the discussions the VC gives alternative ways to raise funds and suggestion(on product improvement or marketing, pricing etc.) if the company is too earlier.
Love it!
So entertaining and informative
Great for any entrepreneur
The behind the scenes recap separates this from the rest as we get to hear what happens after the initial commitments and the diligence process. Not every deal goes through from that first pitch or sometimes investors get even more excited and put in larger amounts. I like the approach of the Pitch!
Peering Into Another World
I’m not someone who hopes to have a startup someday. This podcast is full of great advice for people in that category. But it’s also a great listen for people like me. I love podcasts that transport me to another world that is completely different from my own. They’re the most stress relieving and entertaining for me. I just found the Pitch and am working my way through the archives. Thanks for a great show!
Really thought provoking
I learn a lot from this show about entrepreneurship
Great for pitchers and non pitchers
I’ve listened to every episode of this podcast. Sad to see it go. Even if you aren’t looking to get money for your business, it’s informative and exciting to listen to these business owners pitch their ideas and see just what they go through.
