About this episode

After a stellar pitch on our show back in 2017 — one that got $100K in the first five minutes — founder Mike Slagh hit the ground running with his startup, Shift. In this episode, we catch up with him to find out if Shift, a job-placement service for military vets, has continued to dazzle investors.

Today's investors are Jillian Manus, Phil Nadel, James Altucher and Daniel Gulati.

Founder at Shift at Shift

Mike Slagh is the founder of Shift, a job-placement service that helps U.S. military veterans transition into civilian careers, which pitched on The Pitch. Slagh, a military veteran, started Shift after learning that roughly 300,000 service members struggle to re-enter the workforce each year. Shift secured investment on the show, with investors including Jillian Manus and Phil Nadel backing the company. Slagh returned to The Pitch in a later episode to update investors on Shift's progress.
